Laying the Year to Rest
Plants & Practices for Grieving, Mourning & Celebrating 2025
Saturday, December 20, 2025 · 3–6 PM
A Resting Place · 670 S. King St., Seattle, WA
As we approach the end of the year, this ritual gathering offers space to honor the full spectrum of what 2025 has held — the grief, the joy, the rage, and the quiet wisdom that have accompanied us through another turning of time.
In community, we’ll gather to release what’s ready to be laid to rest and make space for what’s waiting to be born. Through the support of flower essences, herbs, and somatic practice, we’ll reconnect to the body, the breath, and the unseen forces that carry us.
Together, we will:
✨ Work with plants and flower essences for grounding and release
✨ Create a protective medicine bundle to honor a loved one or carry into the new year
✨ Write from the body’s wisdom about grief, longing, and resilience
✨ Witness and be witnessed in shared ritual and story
This space is open to all but centers the safety, wisdom, and lived experiences of Queer, Trans, Intersex, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (QTIBIPOC).
